Liz Hix hails from Olathe, Kansas, but was born in Washington State and is in the process of moving back to Washington to begin her teaching career in the fall of 2017. She and our KMT Alumna and "Midsummer Night's Dream" Director, Anne Whitaker, have remained good friends since childhood and Anne knows that her "Shakespeare kids" will love Liz and learn much from her!!
Liz Hix discovered her passion for Shakespeare after unexpectedly lacing in the semi-finals of a national Shakespeare Competition her Senior year in High School. Combining her love for theatre and education she graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in secondary education for speech/theatre. A semester abroad in London, and teaching/directing theater at the secondary level over the last year solidified her love for working with students. She is excited to be a part of the KMT team this Summer
